SITEK Engineering - The Process of Excellence

Anniversary

- Apr 8, 2014

We are delighted to have reached another significant milestone as Sitek Engineering celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since its foundation in 2004, Sitek has evolved from a small consultancy to an EC&I engineering services business with a £2.8M turnover, 6 office staff and over 30 technicians. We now offer design, installation, commissioning and maintenance services in hazardous environments on and offshore.

Simon Gill, Managing Director and Chartered Engineer, began the business with the aim of providing clients with a ‘process of excellence’ which has become the company motto. “I saw an opportunity to take my knowledge and experience of electrical, instrumentation and control systems into the oil & gas industry and began to establish the business with the key operators in the southern North Sea. Since then we have steadily grown the business to provide more services but maintaining our focus on what we are good at to ensure we always provide a quality service to our clients”.

We invested in improving our quality, H&S, operations and procedures, gaining ISO:9001 accreditation in 2010 and OHSAS:18001 in 2012. We joined Step Change in Safety and British Safety Council as part of our commitment to H&S. We also invested in becoming an IRATA member in 2009 to offer rope access services to our clients. Our membership of EEEGR has brought significant benefits such as supply chain development and networking events.

2013 proved to be a challenging year for Sitek, as many projects and programmes were shelved or put on hold but 2014 has already started strongly with many projects planned throughout the summer months.

It is with deep thanks and gratitude to our staff and clients that we are able to celebrate this achievement and we look forward to many more years working together.
